§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Matthew 18:20   Thought/Prayer:  Serindipitous Study.  Topics:  2 at end.

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”  KJV (Read this scripture and more at

We were not supposed to have Bible study today.  But I happened to be there when it was supposed to occur, and it turned out that we could have it.  A schedule had been rearranged, and now we could have this gathering.

It began with three of us; but we ended up with a group of six.  It was serendipitous, a totally surprise nice thing.  It was very nice especially since two of the participants were from the family of the gentleman in the group.  These new ladies joined right in and helped carry the study right along.  It was a gentle way for the Lord to let me know that no matter the situation, when “two or three” (in this case six) are gathered, studying His Word, He is there.

That’s the way with us Christian folks.  No matter if we have never met, when we come together via some circumstance, we immediately have the bond of His existence, of His presence.  It, in this case, was not because of any shared background, interests, or lifestyle.  It wasn’t because we had some major goal to reach together or some point to prove en masse.  No, we felt a bond just because of our faith.  The bond was there – to feel and to enjoy – not because of us:  because of Him.

Of course, this bonding comes through the presence of the Holy Spirit.  God does His work on planet Earth through His Spirit, one of the three manisfestations of the One God.  And, since God the Father; and God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit are all indeed one, then Jesus the Son is there with us.  And it is through His Spirit, His bonding, that we are able to join right in with people we do not know, and carry on conversations of faith.

Lord, we thank you for providing us with serendipitous occasions like this.  Thank you for giving Christians the common bond of You and that this leads to pleasant surprise-times to enjoy.  We pray that such times may cause us to love You more through the love of others.  We pray that we can pass on this joy to those going through hard times, LIFE issues, or great stress.  Help us to do this.

Topics:  Give thanks for opportunities to grow as Christians, through the presence of other believers whether we know them or not.
