§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Matthew 26:39   Fierce and Exhaustive Prayer

(Concerning Jesus as he approached the crucifixion)  Matthew 26:39:  “And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work;
  prayer is the greater work.”
                            - Oswald Chambers

I ran across this quote today.  Folks, do you realize the hard work, that prayer can be?  We can’t begin to imagine how fiercely Jesus prayed, such that he “fell on his face.”  Have you ever been so into prayer that there was near exhaustion?  Of course, not always.  But even if there has been one time in your prayer life during which this was experienced – it’s the most marvelous thing!  Sometimes this comes when we “pray through” either to a known answer – or to the realization that enough has been prayed.

Putting the hard work of prayer into action is in the end, so blessed and satisfying.  I challenge us all to allow God to lead us to this, for our concerns for LIFE and the culture of life.  Lord, we ask for this to come soon.
