§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Matthew 5:14-16 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  A Treat and Something Else.  Topics:  2 at end.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light to all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Who comes to your door?  Do you know all the trick-or-treaters who appear to ring your doorbell?  Probably not!  And you might not recognize neighbor kids any, all costumed-up.

What an unusual night for kids, is Halloween.  Knock on doors; ring doorbells; and end up with candy, candy, candy.  (And then parents have the task of limiting consumption!)

Considering all the little folks who come . . . whether we know them or not, we greet with a smile and hand them a goodie.  Maybe we should offer them something else!  Non-edible.  Even invisible.  I’m thinking of a prayer.  Wouldn’t it be nice to enhance the candy with prayers?  Sorts of like the “frosting on the cake.” Believe I’ll try to do that!

Yes, when a princess or a space guy comes to the door, give them candy and also hold them up to God.  They will never know, but God will because He knows each and every one as His own beautiful creation.  The ones we don’t know are known by their Heavenly Creator.  And these prayers will definitely add some light to the evening.

And, to stretch this out:  Wouldn’t it be just perfect if a treat goes out and a prayer goes up for a child whose life, years before, was threatened by a parent’s intention to willfully prevent birth at the hands of an abortionist . . . but who was saved and was born and now stands on someone’s doorstep to receive a treat and a prayer over them?  This is not impossible!  Because:  Surely those babies who are saved by the efforts of those who stand for created LIFE will grow and will always enjoy the occasions for fun in life:  Even Halloween tricking and treating.

Lord, help us to in some way care about the little folks (and bigger ones) who come to our door on Halloween.  And thank You for those who would not have been there except that someone stood for LIFE at just the right time.

Topics:  Praise God for the little folks in our lives.  Help us to pray for them on a night of sometimes scary effect, to counteract, and to bless.
