§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Matthew 6:28,29   Thought/Prayer:

Poinsettia Plant Fills Itself In.  Topics:  2 at end.

“And why do you worry about clothes? Learn how the wildflowers of the field grow: they don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these!”

My poinsettia is filling itself in.  Amazing plant.  It began as a Christmas Eve centerpiece and was carried home by me, although its appearance was a bit of a down-grade by poinsettia standards – four gangly bare stalks, rather bent and off-center but with several red leaves.  With true grit, for a year and a half, I’ve taken pains with this plant, feeding it appropriately and watering not too frequently.  It went through a bad patch when it lost brown leaves, but those leaves serve as mulch around the earth in the pot.

My true interest has been in little nodes all over the bottom of the plant’s stems.  They seemed to want to push out tiny buddules which would swell slightly and begin to look leafy.  Well, my poinsettia is outdoing itself with filling in its gangly stalks from the bottom up. Although not in full-flower, it’s in full-leaf.  There are many tiny bright green leaves to be seen!

God grows this plant of mine according to His plan for nodules and leaves.  And we Christians can be certain God wants to sprout us out also, in more beauty for Him.
We can fill in the bare spots in our spiritual lives and became more beautiful in our display of love for the Lord.

Just as for the plant, God does it all for me.  I don’t have to worry about pushing out buds and leaves.  I leave it all to God, as to when each node will sprout and as to the appearance of my greenery in service.  My part is to refresh myself appropriately with the water of the Word and to feed my heart as I ask for direction through prayer.

Pray today that all who serve God, whether in pro-life circles or otherwise, will see themselves as fertile ground for growth in the Lord.

Topics:  Pray for any Christian who might be timid about embracing the battle for life, that boldness from God will take over.

Pray that families of those who perform abortions will become pro-life if they are not already.  Pray especially for abortionists’ family members who truly are pro-life.
