§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Matthew 7:11 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Dads’ Gifts.  Topics:  2 at end.

“If you then, imperfect as you are, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at

Dads give their children many gifts . . . many types of gifts.  Time:  That is one of the greatest.  Several dads were facing into the wind carry little boys into the YMCA, fairly early one Saturday morning.  They were hurrying in to have some fun it would seem, since there were several of these pairs.  Perhaps there was a father/son class of some type.

This was a small thing to view, really.  Or was it?  All these dads were not at home sleeping in or getting things done at home—mowing the lawn or trimming hedge.  Instead they chose to give their Saturday morning to their little guys.  Dads’ gifts of time:  So very important.

And this day there was effort involved also – whether they were going to be playing ball together in the Y or swimming or whatever.  Whatever it was, it wasn’t sleeping in on a Saturday morning.

No, it wasn’t a big thing to view, really.  But it made an imprint somewhere in my thoughts, enough that I thought of it later several times.  On my heart, too, I guess!

Lord, thank you for good dads who are naturally into “daddying up.”  Help us to pray, Lord, for more and more dads to see their responsibility here and to be the dads their sons need.  And sons need time . . . and effort from Dad.  Even on a windy Saturday morning.  It’s such a gift.

Topics:  Pray for dads to get good at being dads - and especially that they will want to be a dad to every baby they conceive.
