§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Mt 6:33 (Pt. 2) Thought/Prayer: Seek His Righteousness? Topics: 2 at end.

Matthew 6:33 (Pt. 2)  “But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  ASV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Prior to this Biblical sentence, Jesus tells us to not worry.  Trust God.  Don’t worry.  God will provide what you with food, drink and clothing.  And what comes ahead of these?  Seeking Him first.  There are many discussions about what is meant by The Kingdom of God here on Earth.  It may help here to think of it as seeking the bringing of His ways to Earth.  We as Christians should be interested in it.

But do we want to seek righteousness?  We should, but does it ever happen that we may resist this quest?  Do we want to avoid a commitment to seek His righteousness?  Can’t that be a huge job, a demanding one, a tiring one over time?  Yes.  It can be big, demanding and tiring.  But so are myriads of other things in life, and none can bring joy in our work like this quest, the seeking of God’s kingdom and righteousness.

Can it be that those of us called to stand for LIFE as a major commitment may have opportunity to seek His righteousness as we work and pray and ask Him to guide us?  We know God’s heart for children (such as displayed when Jesus rebuked the disciples and told them to let the children come to Him).  And children can lead us into greater faith because they trust so easily.

Truly, as we work for life-causes and issues, we may have special blessings and insights into God’s righteousness because of His special love for the children He created.  No, we don’t become righteous because we work for LIFE; that is only gained through faith in Christ.  But many life-persons will tell us that God is revealed to them in various wonderful ways because of hearts toward LIFE, revealed in ways that would not be possible in any other way.  He can show us His righteousness because we are in harmony with Him because of loving the children.

Lord, help us to recognize your face of righteousness as we work toward LIFE for all who are conceived and who are approaching life’s end, on Earth.  Help us to thank you for revelations of Yourself that we only see through closeness to you because of love of children and LIFE.

Topics:  Pray for awareness of God’s blessings and His righteousness as we toil in His Spirit for the children.
