§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Philippians 2:1-4 (P t. 3) Thought./Prayer: Unified as Lumps? Topics: 2@end.

Being One in Christ
If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.”  (WEB)  Read this scripture and more at

But I try to be in a unified effort, can’t that mean something I might not want?  Won’t I be just lumped together with others – and in the process lose my own identity?  No identity in unity?

Well, no.

Not “lumped together.”  No.  That would be an unfair categorization.  To say “brought together” might be more accurate.  When we re unified we are brought together for something.  We as a group have something in common toward which we work.

Does this mean we can’t be our individual selves?  Not at all.  We’re just being our individual selves in tandem with others who are being themselves; and together the common goals get achieved.  No “lumping” needed!

(Although, I might add, that God is our potter, and we are His lumps of clay to mold as He wishes!)

God made each of us to be unique individuals.  But He also wants us to be unified in the goal of serving Him in the best ways we know how.  The power that comes from being unified is incredible.

Lord, thank You for giving us oportunity to come together unified in You.  It’s not that we lose our identity and individualized unique aspects of each of us.  Thank You that we can retain these characteristics You formed within us . . . that we can You can bring us together unified in the Spirit to bring freshness and ability to Your causes, in which we are of one mind.
