§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Philippians 2:9, 10 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Name Him “Jesus.”  Topics:  2 at end.

“For which cause God also hath exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above all names: That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in heaven, on earth, and under the earth:” . . . .  DRA (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

When we think of the name of Jesus, we may imagine Him in the manger.  Or we may think of The Annunciation to Mary by the angel Gabriel (Luke 1:26 -33), telling her that she would bear the Christ child.  Mary was also told to name Him “Jesus.”

Or we may think of someone, possibly someone we know but perhaps not, who in great distress or peril calls on the name of Jesus.  All Christians may, at one time or another, call out for the Lord for help.  His name is always associated with love and assistance.  It is a strong and beautiful name to call on at those times.

One of the reasons we can be so confident in Jesus’ name is revealed in the Philippians scripture here.  His is the Name above all names.  He is Savior.  He is God.  And, He holds the universe together (Col. 1:17).  The baby named Jesus, so easily thought of in a manger, created the Universe by His own Word; the baby about whom Gabriel speaks to Mary is the Word not only of creation but of LIFE (I John 1:1).

The Name may be ever so sweet to someone hurting from poverty, sin, an unplanned pregnancy, and so many more reasons.  Many crisis-pregnancy centers offer the plan of salvation to clients, for many reasons of need.  Jesus’ Name becomes real to those who accept Him as Savior and Lord.

Lord, help us to think of Your Name often – Jesus, Savior . . . Lord of Lords!  We ask you, Lord, in all of our areas of service, to extol you within ourselves at the thought of Your Name . . . and help us to gently tell others about it as we serve as anti-abortion, anti-euthanasia, anti-get-rid-of-the-disabled persons.  Thank you for your precious and all-mighty Name.

Topics:  Pray for the Lord to help you think of His name often, and then ponder it.
