§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Philippians 4:12-14 (Pt. 5)  Thought/Prayer:  But I’m Tired.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Press on Toward the Goal
I do not say that I have already won the race or have already reached perfection. But I am pressing on, striving to lay hold of the prize for which also Christ has laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not imagine that I have yet laid hold of it. But this one thing I do—forgetting everything which is past and stretching forward to what lies in front of me, with my eyes fixed on the goal I push on to secure the prize of God’s heavenward call in Christ Jesus.”  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

God, we strive, we press on, we stretch out into the future, and we push on.  We’re physically worn out!  Well, potentially, that is if all of this is actually physical.  And, it would seem, when we are in the middle of striving for You, Lord, we do get tired.  Sometimes we’re exhausted.  Sometimes we do not wish to press on, to strive, to push.  Even when doing spiritual tasks, we can become physically taxed.

But thank You, Lord, that you have created us to be able to work hard in Your work.  We might say that we are giving of ourselves in “Your” line of work, no matter what we do on Earth vocationally.  Sometimes, Lord, we wish we just didn’t have to be so responsible.  It would be so much easier to sit back, relax more, pursue only what we find appealing or interesting in life . . . and just let others do all that demanding stuff that You come up with.

Well, it doesn’t work that way, we know.  But help us, Lord, when we are weary from all of these verbs above that lead to tiredness . . . push, press, etc., to just rest in You, and the energy we need will return.  Help us to want to work hard under Your direction – while we never lose sight of the goals You have set for us.

Topics:  Pray for stamina in the Lord’s work, including pro-LIFE efforts.
