§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Proverbs 23:15-18 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  The Future.  Topics:  2 at end.

“My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad, even mine:  yes, my heart will rejoice, when your lips speak what is right.  Don’t let your heart envy sinners; but rather fear Yahweh all the day long.  Indeed surely there is a future hope, and your hope will not be cut off.”  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

The future.  As we end one year and begin another, perhaps the future comes into focus a bit more than usual.  The year ahead is a slate upon which no classroom chalk has marked.  The year ahead is open and waiting for our business to fill up the hours, days and months.  Only from the perspective of New Year’s Day can we truly think of all of the days of any year before any one has been fully filled with our doings.

The past and the present inform the future in our lives.  If we do not choose to go to, say, a state university, then that university will not be in our future.  If we say or do negative things in our past that limit our possibilities for, say, employment or some ministry, then that job or ministry will not settle into our future.

This is to say that although we cannot physically relive the past, and we can’t jump into the future right now, our present moment will make the future what it will become.  This scripture says that in our futures, there is hope.  Hope:  one of the most positive unseen attributes there is in life.  And our greatest hope comes through the fear of God.  This fear, perhaps a holy respect, strengthens us when we honor God all day long.

It has been said that hope is a main aspect of lives which are threatened by adversity.  Those who have hope may often overcome more than those who live only in the moment.

God offers us hope for the future.  Let’s grab it and live positively, honoring this God who gives the true Hope, Jesus Christ.

Lord, help us to convey hope to those struggling in so many ways with LIFE issues.  Help them to be able to have hope.

Topics:  Pray for hope to prevail in our nation and for those who have difficult decisions to make in their lives.
The morality of our nation
