§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Proverbs 23:15-18 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  The Present.  Topics:  2 at end.

“My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad, even mine:  yes, my heart will rejoice, when your lips speak what is right.  Don’t let your heart envy sinners; but rather fear Yahweh all the day long.  Indeed surely there is a future hope, and your hope will not be cut off.”  WEY (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

It is said that we truly live only in the present.  Once a moment has past, it is in the past, and the moment in which we now exist will be history in the next . . . well it already is.  It could be depressing to think this way.  But is it not true?  Time tells the story.  We were, we are, and we will be which then becomes we were.  And really, we cannot think a thought in our past.  We thought them then; but our thoughts are in our present.  So are our actions.  We can’t do something in the future.  We think about it in our future; but once we have acted, it’s in the past.

Really, though, this can be viewed as positive, not negative.  Right now I don’t have to think about doing something in my past.  I only have to manage my present existence.  I think about the future and plan for it.  But right now I don’t act in it.  It’s a rather nice plan, the way God set up time for us.  It’s NOW.

It’s what we do with our now that matters most.  Of course we plan for the future.  Our futures in many way rely on our present moment to shape them.  But God wants us to live now and to communicate with Him now.  It’s all we’re responsible for, and He wants to direct it.

Lord, thank you that we don’t have to physically relive our past; thank you that our futures are out of reach until they become our present.  Help us to shape our present moments in such a way that we will be securely in Your will in our futures, and help others to see this principle as they seek answers to LIFE questions.
