§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Proverbs 8:27, 28 Thought/Prayer: The Bible’s Beautiful Waters, Fountains. Topics: 2 at end.

In this passage on wisdom, part of what wisdom says is this, speaking of God:  “When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass on the face of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: . . .” (AKJV)  Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

T
The Bible is written so as to connect many premises in ways that are meaningful to us.  In this Proverbs passage, Wisdom (personified) is speaking of God’s creation of the Earth.  Wisdom was there, it says, when God “set a compass on the face of the depth: . . .”  When He put the clouds in place, and, “When he strengthened the fountains of the deep.”  Those fountains brought great waters to the earth.  We still have rivers that flow from underground springs!  There are even subterranean rivers.

But the term “fountains of the deep” seem to carry out thoughts to wonder.  Where are these great fountains?  Wherever they are, we know that God made them powerfully strong.

But the connection to us and faith, here, could be seen in Psalm 36:5-10.

“5 Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep: O LORD, you preserve man and beast.
7 How excellent is your loving kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house; and you shall make them drink of the river of your pleasures.
9 For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light.
10 O continue your loving kindness to them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.”  (AKJV)

We see in verse 9 that the “fountain of life” is mentioned.
This is the most gracious form of water.  Jesus’.

And in verse 8, we have us (the children of men) drinking from God’s “river of your pleasures.”  How pleasant.  What could be any more pleasant?

So we make the connection between God’s creation of the fountains of the deep and the Fountain of Life, Jesus Christ.  God just gives us so many ways to understand about the Lord Jesus.  Of course we know what a fountain is . . . and we can imagine how the fountains of the deep shot water up into creation . . . and we can drink from the Fountain that is Jesus.  Our part may be to take up some of the water and pass it on to others.  So many need the refreshing drink from Jesus’ Life-fountain.

Lord, teach us how to find those who need the fountain that is You.  We ask, Lord, that those who are looking for answers about LIFE (teenagers in angst because of a pregnancy; dads who don’t want their wife or girlfriend to abort; grandparents who struggle both with their aging parents’ health perhaps and the possibility of losing a grandchild to abortion—) will have someone offer the drink from Your fountain.  For life.

Topics:  Pray that those who need Jesus will find Him and drink deeply.
