§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 1:1-3 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Withered?  Or Supple?  Topics:  2 at end.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”  KJV  (Read this scripture and more at

We do not want withered leaves.  Withered leaves are pictorial displays of a problem in a plant.  They represent a lack of moisture and nutrition.  They will soon fall and will be returned to the earth as crunching underfoot or as powdery much-crushed walked-upon organic confetti after weeks or months.

But God, in this scripture, tells us that if we delight in His law and if we medicate on it always (day AND night), we will not hang down withered leaves.  So let us picture ourselves as trees walking around, leaves supple and fresh with whatever color of green your tree or mine sports.  I don’t know – would I rather be a deep-green sweet gum or a brighter, lighter-green willow?  Well, our Maker will decide.

Our part is simple, if not easy.  Just be happy in the law of the Lord, and meditate much.  It’s simple because it’s profound.  It’s not easy because we are human, and God gave us the ability to choose between sort-of delight in and extremely-dedicated to delight in, Him and His law.

And Lord, we pray that you will convict us to WANT to delight in Your law and to keep it foremost in our minds.  We don’t want to be easily crushed underfoot with a crunch.  We want to be green and healthy and beautiful in Your work.

Topics:  Pray for more delightful times in the Lord and His law and for the desire to meditate on His Word.
