§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 140:7 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer: Our Heads are Covered. Topics:  2 at end.

“O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.” KJV (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com).”

So when we do battle, such as fighting against the forces who deny the sanctity of LIFE, do we wear helmets?  As Christians, we wear the helmet of salvation, as described in Ephesians 6 (v. 7).  Now that helmet is the most important one in the universe.

This scripture tells us that we have an added protection, and perhaps we can consider it as an addition to the helmet of salvation.  The psalmist says that when in battle, God has covered his head.  Yes, God is the one who allows us to wear the helmet of salvation, through our faith.  But here God directly takes care of us by covering our heads as we fight for His causes.  Wow and double wow.  Isn’t that something!?

How does He cover us?  It doesn’t say here, but maybe we can think of his strong hand of righteousness either hovering over us or resting on the tops of our heads.  Either is a great mind picture of how this could be.  Or we might mentally picture him as placing something upon our heads as a covering, and whatever it would be, the fact that He put it there means it has all the strength of the universe when trouble comes.

Lord, we thank you so much that you protect us and not only in just one way.  Our minds cannot comprehend how many ways and methods you employ to cover us and keep us safe.  Help us not to forget this, Lord, as we walk through our days fighting for LIFE in our world (which is Your world, too, of course).

Topics:  Pray for complete understanding not of the ways God protects us His children, but the understanding that His protection is always with us.
