§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 146:2 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  They Praise, By Being.  Topics:  2 at end.

“As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.”  (DBT)  Read this scripture and more at

There are many of our oldest citizens who are praising God from their wheelchairs or beds, be it in a senior-care facility; a son or daughter’s home; or even a hospital.  These may be folks who seemingly are unaware of their surroundings or what is going on in the room.  These may be folks who seem to not realize much at all.

But how do we know what they are realizing, day to day?  We don’t know.  No communication?  Hard to determine what is happening inside someone’s head.  Tests may indicate that there isn’t much going on.  Or at least we think this.

No, we do not know.  But Someone does:  God.

And could we not correlate such a person to this Psalm verse?  Yes.  It is because God does know, that we can say that people in such situations can still praise Him while they have being.  They may have inner thoughts or awarenesses of Him.  They may have awareness of those around them, although giving no indication.

But the true reason such a person has being is because they exist; and they exist by the hand of God.  His handiwork in creating even the most seemingly unaware person makes them have being.  If for no other reason on Earth, this one is praiseworthy:  They praise Him because they do exist; and He caused it.  All creation praises God.  Revelation 5:13, World English Bible:  “I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, ‘To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!’”

And so, as a creation of God, the old man in the wheelchair makes God praiseworthy.  And praises Him.  We must not forget, Lord, to consider this when making decisions about the future of the elderly and the infirm.  They are Yours.  And they praise You.

Topics:  Praise God for the oldest people in your life.  They bring Him praise.  Just by being.
