§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 147:12-16.  Thought/Prayer:  Snow Like Wool.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!  For he has strengthened the bars of your gates.  He has blessed your children within you.
He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.
He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.” (WEB)  (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

He texted a photo of snow to the top of his deck’s railing, our friend did.  Later a phone call was made from our house to a relative who lives close to the friend, and there was conversation about someone who, upon the occurrence of an emergency, would have needed to exit the house from a basement door; the front storm door was held tightly shut by piled snow, blown.  Another relative, father north, was awaiting snow, but not up to railing height.

Winter brings, of course, different weather, often severe and threatening.  We try to prepare for snow and take extra precautions if a forecast includes what we might call weather heavy with potential difficulty.  How did the pioneers survive the northern winters or winters on a coast or the prairies?

This scripture compares that snow on the deck to wool.  Our friend’s photo made deck items look rather wooly, if unrecognizable.  Wooly snow covers completely and thickly and camouflages whatever was there, creating weird and unrecognizable shapes out of the ordinary.  There is a hump of something on the deck’s table.  Who knows what it is?

Thick layering of snow offers us a pristine whiteness.  Any dust in the air comes down with the first flakes.  By the time 12” or more has fallen, the snow is pure white and clean.  It reminds us of a passage of scripture.

Isaiah 1:18:  “Come now, and let us reason together, said the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”  (AKJV)  How could this be any more beautifully said?  Our sin, after forgiveness through The Lord Jesus Christ, is like the photo’s wooly-looking piled-up pure-clean snow.  What a reminder He gives us in nature!  I’m glad for the photo’s graphic visual.

Lord, perhaps in some manner, those families in LIFE-death struggles may connect pure-driven snow with purity of life after forgiveness of sin through Jesus.  It is after this occurs that members of these families may see more clearly the right road to walk, even if it goes through a blizzard that piles up snow to a railing’s top.

Topics:  Pray for those in LIFE struggles to find the Savior if they do not know Him.
