§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 147:7,8 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Singing Hearts and Otherwise.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise on the harp to our God: Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains.”  AKJV (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

When Thanksgiving Day comes around every year, there is lots of thanksgiving to the LORD, but maybe not with harps – in fact rarely with harps in someone’s home.  Have you happened to notice?  A harp is a “rather big” musical instrument . . . and one difficult to master.  No, probably a very small percentage of homes have time, talent or space for a harp.

But in order to avoid harping on this subject, how do we praise God on Thanksgiving Day?

1. Counting blessings . . . better start early if we want to be done by dinner time.

2. Praying thank-yous . . . The thanks goes to God, of course, without whom there would be no food on the table . . . and no table!

3. Maybe singing.  Not all families do this with vocal cords, but we can all sing in our hearts.  Colossians 3:16 tells us, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (AKJV).  Perhaps this could be interpreted to mean that singing can be in our hearts.

However praise occurs on Thanksgiving Day, or even if that big dinner is on other days, it’s all meaningful to God.  Lord, we thank you for all of your blessings . . . the food, the fellowship, and the opportunity to praise You Who provides for us always.  Praise The Lord.

Topics:  As we praise God on Thanksgiving, also praise Him for all of the babies and the old and the infirm who are in our lives at least in part because of the effort of pro-LIFE groups and ministries.
Pray for all who are at risk for an early death, including babies in the womb today, if they are unwanted or unexpected.
