§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 147:7, 8 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Preparation.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise on the harp to our God: Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the mountains.”  AKJV (Read these scriptures and more at

We are given a personal description here, a small description of an aspect of our God’s interest in our world, planet Earth.  We know, of course, that God’s plan for Earth includes stars, planets, planets’ satellites such as our moon, and mountains with grass.  And rain.

It’s the rain we’re considering here and God’s involvement with it.  He prepares it.  He thinks ahead about it; He decides how He will send it (and where), and He accomplishes getting it ready for us and all on Earth who benefit from rain . . . including, of course, the natural world of plants and animals.  I suppose we could say, also, that clouds have to do with rain of a sort – they often hold water until it gets so heavy they have to let it go . . . and, voila . . . rain!

Have you ever thought about grass growing on a mountain?  Of course, it does!  But we may usually think of mountains being such towers of rock, we may forget about the plants thereon.  Yes, the tops of the mountains are often grassless, but on the way up there are many types of grass, flowers and trees.

The thing is, God contemplates all of this rain and its results for plants and animals and us humankind.  Do you suppose He designs formulas for sprinkles, regular rain, and those splotchy big fat drops that come to our cars’ windshields?  Fun to think about anyway.

Lord, thank you for preparing for us the wonder that is rain and the beauty that are clouds and the mountains’ cover that is grass.  We praise You, and we also praise Your preparation for all of us as Your creations, babies through completed lives on Earth.  Help us to pass on to others that it is Your hand that accomplishes all of this.

Topics:  Praise God for His thoughtful preparation for us on Earth and for the baby in the womb.
