§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 25:15 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Walk Confidently.  Topics:  2 at end.

“My eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)
Psalm 91:3  “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.
For he will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.”

Maybe if we want to avoid being entrapped in a net or caught in a snare, we should do one thing:  Watch where our feet may take us.  Or, said another way, watch where our feet are taking us.  In the Christian walk, we do, of course:  walk. Why do we need to be careful about where our feet should take us?  Of course, the answer is:  Where do we want to end up?  Where should our feet take us?  Let’s look at some scriptures regarding this walking.

2 John 1:6.  “This is love, that we should walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment, even as you heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.”  (WEB)

John 12:35.  “ Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come on you: for he that walks in darkness knows not where he goes.”  (AKJV)

I Kings 3:14 “If you will walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” (WEB)

Well, 2 John tells us that it is love, when we walk according to His commandments.  And John 12 shows us that we must walk according to the light; and if we walk in the dark, we will get lost.  I Kings tells us that walking with God and keeping his statutes can lengthen our days on Earth.

So,  it would seem that, according to these verses, when we walk “Godly,” we will surely be able to walk around, or away from any nets or snares that are around us.  This is a form of watching where our feet are taking us!  And why?

If we are walking as love; and if we are walking in light, our feet will head in the correct directions.  We don’t need to worry about looking at our feet 24/7.  God will help us watch where we go because we are in His will.

We can walk additional days, according to I Kings.  Just by walking in God’s ways.  We could say, “Walk in His ways; Get some days.”  Well, perhaps.

Yes, as we walk in the pathways of being close to God, we will avoid the pitfall nets and the traps set to ensnare.  He wants to direct our feet on His paths.  And there are so many people who need to know this.  Those hurting families in LIFE crises may have become stuck in a net or flung up by a snare already.  And we can help them and pray for them.

But by walking according to the scriptures above, we may be greatly more confident that our own lives will walk around such problems that grab at us.  God may allow us into situations wherein we feel caught.  But He then helps pull us out and up in order to walk confidently once again.

Topics: Pray for wisdom to walk with our eyes toward the Lord and to pray for others to do so.
