§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 29 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  Unique Voices and Caring.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Ascribe Glory to the Lord
Give to the LORD, O you mighty, give to the LORD glory and strength.
Give to the LORD the glory due to his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
The voice of the LORD is on the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is on many waters.
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yes, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire.
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve, and discovers the forests: and in his temple does every one speak of his glory.
The LORD sits on the flood; yes, the LORD sits King for ever.
The LORD will give strength to his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at

Just think how personal is a person’s voice.  There is none other like it, exactly.  Voice characteristics range greatly, from the rich bass booming of many men, to the high delicate tones of a petite lady.  Yes, each voice on Earth has particular tones and inflections that are unique to the individual.

So when we consider a scripture such as this one today, we surely must think of how unique is God’s voice.  The voice that spoke creation must have been like billions of sonic booms in one syllable.  But the thing is, His personal voice spoke that power.  And that seems pretty special.

The scriptures in Genesis that describe creation (Genesis 1:1 – Genesis 2:2) speak, of course, about every different type of created objects, including human persons.  What if we consider God’s voice in all of this that was spoken.  It could seem that His voice’s personal touch could add the dimension of unique care that comes with voices.  His is, of course, the perfect voice without flaw – the only one ever.  We know He cared about what was spoken:  He assessed it as He went and called it “good.”

So why all of this about voices?  His voice?  It just seems that as He created, He was personally caring about it all.  He cared through His uniqueness – even His unique voice – just as we humans care through our voices as we speak encouragement or love to others.  It perhaps makes His creation easier with which to identify.  It brings it to our level of understanding a bit more.

Although we don’t hear His voice, it must be the same in the creation of a new human.  He cares.  And, Lord, thank You.  Thank You that each and every newly fertilized person in their womb was created as You “spoke” their life into being.  Help those who are surprised by a pregnancy, to realize that the infant within the mother is of You and is worthy of being birthed into life on Earth.  Then after a few months, there will be the unique voice of a newborn as he or she protests coming into Earth’s surprising air after the journey of birth, with a loud wail.

Topics:  Pray for those with surprise pregnancies, that they may think of God’s role in the conception and of the new person’s worth.
