§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 34:1-4 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  How Do We Magnify God?  Topics:  2 at end.

“I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”  KJV http://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com).

We are to magnify God.  But how can we do this?  Get out our little round magnifying glass with the handle and try to in some way find Him (although invisible) and take a closer look?  Because He is a fire, maybe we can take a magnifying glass and focus it on some white paper and let the sun cause it to burn as a symbol of Him?

Well, no.  We’re to magnify Him from our hearts.  Magnification in our world indicates making something appear larger than it really is, in order for us to see it more clearly.  Who hasn’t used a magnifying glass to read “fine print,” of which there seems to be so much on documents and ads?

But do we need to make God seem larger than He is?  NO!  We can’t!  He is so large, the largest of the largest “anything.”  He cannot be made to appear larger because he already is!  But He can be made to seem larger in our lives, and this is our choice.  We may want to magnify (for deeper understanding) some portion of His awesome character.  We may want to magnify certain aspects of our life in Him as even greater treasure than we thought possible; for instance, when He works to solve a problem or to bring about some result, we may feel that he “is” bigger than life.  Because He is.  He’s bigger than life, our lives and LIFE in our stance for the vulnerable.

Lord, help us today to truly magnify you for Who you are and for what you do.  Magnifying You in our lives is one of the greatest ways to praise you, and we always have reasons to do it.  Thank you.

Topics:  Pray for insight on ways to magnify God’s holy name as He is a working presence in our lives.
