§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 37: 23,24 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  With His Hand.  Topics:  2 at end.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way.  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”  (AKJV) (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

The Lord is there when we fall and helps us.  How do we fall?  In our actions; our attitudes; our choices.  We could fill up encyclopedias with all the ways we do not live up to standards, ours or someone else’s or society’s.  No one could ever count the ways that we humans can “fall.”

But when we know God, when we know His Son and have received salvation through Him, we know we have God to uphold us.  And it is with His hand.

God’s hands made the universe (Isaiah 66:1,2); God’s hands made you and me (Psalm 139:13).  God’s hands are seen through the Bible as strong and mighty.  His right hand is exalted (Psalm 89:13).  We are inscribed on His palms (Isaiah 49:16).  He leads us with His hand (Hebrews 8:9).

And we are upheld by His hand.  The verse does not say that we are upheld by his hands . . . just a hand.  Yes, it’s that strong, whether His hand is (from above), plucking us out of a net (Psalm 25:15) or upholding us from below (Psalm 18:35).

And, yes, that hand creates a baby in a mother’s womb . . . and indeed creates the hands of that baby . . . immediately upon birth flexing, stretching, reaching; very small, with the tiniest fingernails.  The nails on a newborn’s pinkie – overwhelmingly beautiful-tiny.

Lord, thank You for the strength of Your hand.  Thank You for the care you offer to those who love You, but yet fall.  Thank You for constantly drawing to Yourself those who love You and those who need to know You.  Help those who have fallen in LIFE issues . . . and those who don’t know how to get back up . . . to recognize Your hand as it reaches to help.  Lord, if your assistance is seen through the actions of Christian folk, help those they want to help to recognize You, in it all.

Topics:  Pray for those who need God’s help, that they will see that it is from Him, no matter the form it takes.
