§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 56:13 (Pt. 3)

Thought/Prayer:  Walk Firm.  Topics:  2 at end.

“For Thou hast delivered my soul from death; wilt Thou not deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?”

As go our feet, so goes the rest of us, at least usually - - even out from under the rest of us above the feet.  Anyone who has ever had vertigo or balance problems knows that the floor or the cement can come up mighty quickly, and we’re down before we know it, with no real chance to try to right ourselves on the way down.  The more slippery the path on which we tread (such as my own familiarity with the ice-salt spilled out one winter in the supermarket), the quicker and harder the fall.

There is a way to take never-slippery steps:  Walk only where God would have us walk.  Oh, of course, we could counter and say that one could fall on the sidewalk when doing God’s work of standing for life at an abortion clinic.  But who is into such fruitless debates?  There is risk with getting out of bed in the morning – such as from the slippers I found under my bed today that have been waiting to trip me up for who knows how long?  We only have to seek our pathway in God and put firm foot after firm foot-hold as we travel through life.  Then any risk is lessened!

Pray today that Christians will walk just where God directs this week and that they will seek his will – and possibly some of them might join in the fight for LIFE.

Topics:  Pray for God’s Spirit to just be His Spirit to convict unto salvation and service.

Pray for Operation Rescue as leaders face challenges in Nebraska, where Dr. Carhart does abortions and is considering opening a late-term clinic in Kansas after the death of Dr. George Tiller of Wichita.
