§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 65 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Earth and Water, Everywhere.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Praise Waits for You, God, in Zion
1To the end, a psalm of David. The canticle of Jeremias and Ezechiel to the people of the captivity, when they began to go out. A Hymn, O God, becometh thee in Sion: and a vow shall be paid to thee in Jerusalem.
2O hear my prayer: all flesh shall come to thee.
3The words of the wicked have prevailed over us: and thou wilt pardon our transgressions.
4Blessed is he whom thou hast chosen and taken to thee: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be filled with the good things of thy house; holy is thy temple,
5wonderful in justice. Hear us, O God our saviour, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and in the sea afar off.
6Thou who preparest the mountains by thy strength, being girded with power:
7who troublest the depth of the sea, the noise of its waves. The Gentiles shall be troubled,
8and they that dwell in the uttermost borders shall be afraid at thy signs: thou shalt make the outgoings of the morning and of the evening to be joyful.
9Thou hast visited the earth, and hast plentifully watered it; thou hast many ways enriched it. The river of God is filled with water, thou hast prepared their food: for so is its preparation.
10Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers.
11Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty.
12The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy,
13The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.”  (DRB)  Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com

Verse 5:  “Hear us, O God our saviour, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and in the sea afar off.”  The psalmist pretty much sums it all up, doesn’t he?  The hope in God extends to the ends of the earth . . . even all the ends of the earth.  And not only that.  The psalmist includes the sea.  Well, what do we have on Earth, in a basic way?  Land and water!  In fact, water takes up a greater percentage of the Earth’s area than land!  Perhaps 70% to 30%!  So, God’s hope is everywhere!

And, of course, it comes down to the personal level of all mankind.  I TImothy 4:10:  “For to this end we labor and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of them that believe” (ASV). To the ends of earth and water.  And hope for each of us.  There isn’t anywhere that God’s hope isn’t.

How encouraging this is, especially when we attempt to counsel someone going through tough times, times when hope seems a word without personal meaning.  There might be hope for others, but it seems it never stopped and knocked on our door, we might think.

But that is not what this psalm says.  No, it says that Hope is just all over everywhere.  No part of Earth is without it.  And when someone cannot hope for themselves, others such as we can live it for them, through our assistance and our prayers.  Lord, let us be privileged to offer Your hope to others who feel it has overlooked them and gone on to someone else.

Topics:  Pray to help others see the widespread and universal hope of God for their lives, especially those in LIFE struggles of life and death.
Military leaders everywhere to be able to see LIFE for what it is:  God-created.
