§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 65 (Pt. 5)  Thought./Prayer:  Joy and Hymns.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Praise Waits for You, God, in Zion
1To the end, a psalm of David. The canticle of Jeremias and Ezechiel to the people of the captivity, when they began to go out. A Hymn, O God, becometh thee in Sion: and a vow shall be paid to thee in Jerusalem.
2O hear my prayer: all flesh shall come to thee.
3The words of the wicked have prevailed over us: and thou wilt pardon our transgressions.
4Blessed is he whom thou hast chosen and taken to thee: he shall dwell in thy courts. We shall be filled with the good things of thy house; holy is thy temple,
5wonderful in justice. Hear us, O God our saviour, who art the hope of all the ends of the earth, and in the sea afar off.
6Thou who preparest the mountains by thy strength, being girded with power:
7who troublest the depth of the sea, the noise of its waves. The Gentiles shall be troubled,
8and they that dwell in the uttermost borders shall be afraid at thy signs: thou shalt make the outgoings of the morning and of the evening to be joyful.
9Thou hast visited the earth, and hast plentifully watered it; thou hast many ways enriched it. The river of God is filled with water, thou hast prepared their food: for so is its preparation.
10Fill up plentifully the streams thereof, multiply its fruits; it shall spring up and rejoice in its showers.
11Thou shalt bless the crown of the year of thy goodness: and thy fields shall be filled with plenty.
12The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy,
13The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.”  (DRB)  Read this scripture and more at

Verses 12 and 13:  “The beautiful places of the wilderness shall grow fat: and the hills shall be girded about with joy,
The rams of the flock are clothed, and the vales shall abound with corn: they shall shout, yea they shall sing a hymn.”

As we can see, these two verses finish this beautiful psalm.  We are taken in our minds to beautiful places of the wilderness.  Growing fat?  Maybe this indicates a healthy ecosystem that sustains itself well.  Better yet – What are the hills to have girded about them?  Joy!  This is God’s joy.

And, rams are clothed – maybe a good coat of wool – and the valleys will have much corn – abounding with it.  Roasting ears anyone?

And then . . . Shouting!  All of this creation will shout.  And even more:  “They shall sing a hymn.”  This is so like the words of Isaiah 55:12 (AKJV): “For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”  Joy!  Even singing a hymn; a song of praise to God.  Nature – singing and clapping a song of praise!  How appropriate.  Our God is a God of great joying in His creation.

If we choose to share all of this joy and the singing of nature with others, perhaps they will be able to sense the love God has for Earth and all of the life upon it.  We know that man was made just lower than the angels and is the highest of all creation on Planet Earth – (Psalm 8).  In that God-ordained position, mankind is given the charge of ruling over all the plants and animals on Earth.

Through the words of this psalm, we know that God loves mankind without limit, and mankind was made to glorify God, just as all the rest of creation does.  And this includes God’s love for every heart struggling with life and death on Earth.

Lord, thank You that You love your creation of Earth and its inhabitants, including men and women.  May verses such as these perhaps be meaningful to families in great stress.  May they know that there is joy to be found from God because He made each family member just as he did with joy all else in creation.

Topics:  Pray that the joy of God’s creation, including families in great LIFE stress, will be able to be seen clearly and that this will lead those families to choose LIFE because of God’s love for all.
