“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”
Physically, we all fail over time, including our hearts. But of course we know that there are more than one way to have failing hearts. Our “hearts” (our “heart” for the task) may become discouraged and want to buckle under pressure, fear, or fear of failure.
But fortunately, we have a great heart-strengthener, our Lord God. He gives us our physical hearts and also our heart-of-spirit for any task to which he assigns us. When we ask Him to, he builds up our drive to accomplish His work, and we and others become blessing-receivers. Who knows? When we are doing His will with strengthened hearts, maybe our physical hearts gain something back to allow for more effort for causes in the future.
Pray today that Christians will ask God to strengthen their hearts.
