§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 74:16, 17 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Living Inside Time.  Topics:  2 at end.

“The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun. You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.”  (WEB)  this scripture and more at

Yes, it is true that we human beings live inside time, the way God planned for us and for time.  God, it seems, is not timely . . .  but we are!

Actually, we are sort of inside time but looking to eternity.  That is how
far our vision extends when we have as Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He, being God, is eternal.  And the Bible gives us this glimpse of eternity through Jesus Christ, as well as through His Word, the Bible.  So how are we to so live within our timely existence?

Make use of time!  We see in this scripture that God owns the day and the night.  Well, if we are Christians, could it be that we also “own” the day and nighttime because He owns us?  Well, not in the way that this scripture reads, of course; we don’t own the day or the night by right of ownership like God does.  After all, he made it, so of course it is his.

But, in a way, we have ownership of the time we have each day.  God gave us the freedom to use our time as we choose.  So, yes, perhaps we should see that as a lesser type of ownership.  And if we own something, what do we want to do in normal circumstances?  Take care of it.  We have a car, or a bicycle, let’s say.  If we never put the car in the garage, or if we leave the bicycle in the rain all day, they will soon degrade from lack of care.

We should want to take care of what we own.  The same with the time we have each day.  Don’t waste it; just use it. . . but not for selfish ends; use it for God.  After all, He’s the one Who gave it to us.  This caretaking of time can then spill over into ministry, both pro-life and otherwise.

Lord, help us who are here living in the confines of time to be a wise guardian of it.  Help us to serve others repeatedly by using our time well in Your service; and help us to not waste time on pointless endeavors.  The trust You have given us with time is greater than the waste that can accompany it.

Topics:  Pray to use our time wisely in ministry, both to those outside our family and within.
