§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 74:16 ,17   Thought/Prayer:  Clockwork Awesomeness.  Topics:  2 t end.

“The day is thine, the night also is thine; *thou* hast prepared the moon and the sun:
*Thou* hast set all the borders of the earth; summer and winter—*thou* didst form them.”  (DBT)  (Read this scripture and more at

Celestial events captivate us.  And they well should.  We are all amazed at just the array of stars above us on a clear night.  Over centuries, we have learned to put names to certain configurations of stars that we call constellations, arrangements of stars that we enjoy relating to objects we recognize.  Some arrangements come in sizes:  The Big Dipper; the Little Dipper.

Some are arranged to point us to something big: If we consider the two outer stars in the bowl of the Big Dipper and picture an imaginary line drawn between them and extended, it stretches out to Polaris, the North Star.  And then, amazingly, Polaris is right at the end of the Little Dipper’s handle.  It seems the two “dippers” may be pals.

But perhaps nothing is as captivating on Earth as a total eclipse of the sun.  The moon’s coming between the Earth and the sun at just the right time can, amazingly, block out the sun’s light on Earth for a short period of time.  When the path of the eclipse traverses across a nation 3,000 miles wide, it’s SOMETHING!, as we say.

Of course this “right time” is all in God’s plan for the workings of the cosmos.  Before time, God knew when al eclipses of the sun (and moon . . . a lunar eclipse) will happen over eons.  Perhaps for those of us who believe in God and His creation, this is an added aspect to enjoying a doesn’t-happen-very-often celestial display of celestial clockwork.  It shows His awesome and unapproachable power, right down at our level for our enjoyment.  Stars are being formed regularly; black holes are “out there.”  Stars greater than our sun blaze away.  And yet, God in His timing, plans displays for us that can bring us a feeling of unity, our togetherness as His creation, as humans.

This wonder we feel highlights His greatness.  And then when we believe, we may think of the awesomeness of the creation of a new human or the awesomeness of the positive attributes of an old person.  And we thank Him again for His plans for us in His cosmos.  Because the cosmos is His.  And so are we.

Lord, help us to convey your awesomeness in creating a human baby to those who struggle with unplanned pregnancy.  Help them see Your hand in the formation of that child.

Topics:  Pray for our awesome appreciation of the Lord to grow, so that we can share with others His power and love in all of His creation.
