§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 74:17 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Boundaries.  Topics:  2 at end.

“You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.”  WEB (Read this scripture and more at

It could be true that some people are winter people and some people are summer people.  And there are surely spring and fall folks!  But whatever weather we are, we who live in areas of weather extremes are always going to live through all types of weather, at least a quarter of which may not match our preference.  So what if we are a winter person forced to live in tropical scenarios?  This could be problematic!

God loves seasons.  Why else would He have invented them?  It seems He likes variety . . . not only in seasons, but in the human races, ethnicity, environments, and the universe!  How could things be more varied than the Northern Lights and the deepest canyon in the oceans?  How could a ladybug be any more different from an elephant?  Or a gnat from a whale?  Or a slug from a peacock?

And He has set the boundaries of the earth . . . a thing to contemplate.  Could it possibly be that some of the boundaries have to do with the differences we see?  An elephant has the boundary of small places; they can’t get through.  A dog has a boundary in a tree – Dogs don’t climb, at least not far up a tree in a rushed effort.  And in some ways, the most miniscule of creatures, of seemingly small significance, are actually able to traverse more of Earth’s area than some mighty creations.  For example, an ant could probably walk on dirt or a forest floor almost everywhere on earth’s land.  But a tiger may only walk on land where he is no threat to human persons.

It’s the differences in people that make life interesting it would seem.  And God uses the differences He created in Christian believers to carry out His plans on Planet Earth.  Sometimes it seems our fellow believers could not be more different than you or I are!  There’s that lady, Genevieve, always prayin’ about everything under the sun.  Maybe she could take a class on evangelism sometime!  Or, Sunday-school teachers!  Couldn’t they just for once sing in the choir!?  It needs to grow!

Yes, God set boundaries on Earth and in our lives.  We’re all given the same amount of time in a day.  No one can do it all.  It’s impossible. So perhaps we should accept our own boundaries and be the cold-weather person that we are, or the fall-weather person, all the while seeking God’s will in our lives as we serve in all kinds of situations . . . and weather!

Topics:  Pray to be content with the differences you and I have from other people and pray for God to use them in His service and glory.
