Psalm 82:8   Thought/Prayer:  Do We Sit as Judges?  Topics:  2 at end.

“Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.”  KJV  (Read this scripture and more at

Do we sit or act as judges?  Do any of us say, “Yes or no,” “life or death,” to an individual child?  A child in the womb?  Yes, someone does.  It happens over and over.  Some say “choice” is personal.  Yes, it’s “personal.”  It’s most personal to the baby in the womb.  Couldn’t be more personal.  But saying life-or-death to a child in the womb explodes more than personal consequences.

Should we also say, “Yes, life or death,” to a nation?  We don’t think we do this, but directly or indirectly, we may be calling the shots for our own nation - and thusly standing for either life or death – by how we view abortion.  And, if God is going to inherit us, how can He do so with honor if we are living against His will?

Lord, help us today to realize if we are making ourselves into judges by the way we live.  We want you to be the one to judge our nation; help us to help it be worthy of your respect and honor.

Topics:  Pray for wisdom to allow God to be the judge of our nation and then to help our nation be worthy of His inheritance.
All judges in our nation
