§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 89:14-18   Thought/Prayer:  Learn to Acclaim.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
love and faithfulness go before you.
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
They rejoice in your name all day long;
they celebrate your righteousness.
For you are their glory and strength,
and by your favor you exalt our horn.d
Indeed, our shielde belongs to the Lord,
our king to the Holy One of Israel.”  WEB (Read these scriptures and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

“Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, . . . “
I want to be blessed of God, do you?  So what is it about . . . this acclaiming Him?

To acclaim means to praise very greatly.  Enthusiastically.  Perhaps loudly and with boldness.  Well, let’s acclaim God!  Let’s let Him know how much we love Him and how much we want to praise Him.  We’ll send our acclamation to the heavens!  Often!  “Love, we Love You!”

Interestingly, this translation says that we learn to acclaim Him.  Maybe we don’t know how to exactly extol His wonders when we first begin.  Do you think that it might be that as time goes by, we appreciate Him more and more, and our appreciation grows?  Yes, the more we see of His closeness and actions in our lives, the more we want to praise Him.  We broaden our base for learning more and more about Him which leads to more and more acclamation.

Yes, we learn to praise God greatly, day upon day, whether we are actively shouting out praise or not.  Our lives became praise to Him, as we allow Him to live in us.  But can we keep on learning to praise Him when huge struggles seem to suck all hope out of us?  It may be difficult.  How can a family acclaim God’s greatness when the child in Mother’s womb may have severe genetic problems?  Many families do and are strengthened in the struggle.  It is partly the responsibility of us who stand for LIFE to find the areas for praise for these families; help them see God as the faithful One, the One whom we can learn to praise.

Perhaps teaching others how to acclaim God is a high calling, especially where LIFE issues are looming large.  Lord, help us learn to acclaim You in our lives and to teach others the same.

Topics:  Acclaim God.  Praise Him.  Pray this for others.
