Psalm 91:14,15 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Pray for Clients and Counselors.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Because he has set his love on me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name.  He shall call on me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.”  (AKJV) (Read this scripture and more at

The second portion of this scripture to be considered is, “. . . I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him,” referring again, of course, to the person named in the first verse of this Psalm, “He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty,” (i.e., the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ).  The basis of this is so important in the work at crisis-pregnancy centers around the world.  These centers, run by employees and volunteers, offer the Good News of Jesus Christ and salvation through Him, continually to clients.  And these clients need the Lord, if they do not already know Him.

The other part of this is that the clients in such centers are there because they are in need of the Lord’s deliverance from trouble.  And so, in the course of a day at one of these centers, the employees and volunteers will encounter many situations requiring God’s deliverance.  So it is extremely important that the clients know Christ.  So, then, as we support the workers there in prayer, we must pray that the folks needing advice and help will be open to the Gospel.  When the Lord Jesus is involved directly in their lives, He is the one who will be there in trouble and deliver.

The clients need help.  The clients need to know the Lord.  The workers know the Lord.  We pray for them.  In answer to our prayers, they present the gospel effectively.  Clients come to Jesus.  And then the floodgates of help, deliverance and blessings fling open.

Even when we do not know how to pray specific prayers for the clients we’ve considered here, the Christian counselors who work with them do know.  So perhaps one of our tasks may be to ask the Lord to cover any needs that the counselors see; and to ask Him to help those individuals pray into His will for their clients.

Lord, thank You for this promise in this scripture.  Help us to pray specifically as much as we can, both for the counselors in crisis-pregnancy centers and for the hurting and confused people they help. Thank You for convicting us to pray into Your will.

Topics:  Pray for counselors and clients at crisis-pregnancy centers, particularly any counselors who are known to you.
