§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Psalm 95:6   Thought/Prayer:  Bow Down.  Topics:  2 at end.

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”  (AKJV)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com.)

Lord, help me to bow down.  So often I do not want to.  So often I want to strut around and try to “be” someone.  But the “someone” I am to be involves no strutting.  It’s to be all about You, Lord . . . and when it’s about You, well, it’s not about me.  When can I get this into my head?  It’s not about any strutting about at all.  To the contrary, it’s to be about bowing down in a kneel.

It seems, Lord, that you’ve made it difficult to strut when bowed down.  Impossible actually.  Strutting has to do with standing tall and walking with a bit of a swagger, head held higher than those around.

But bowing, Lord.  We are not tall but bent.  Our heads are not high, but lowered.  No craning upward.  We submit, surrender.  In surrender, necks are down, not stretched up.  They are shortened, compacted.

Lord, help me to take on this form.  Help me to humble myself into this position of surrender.  It is a much more becoming position than one of a strut.  It does not matter that no one but You, Lord, may see me as such.  Bowing is not for display; it’s to be seen by You, Lord, not necessarily others, although there may be others to witness.

When praying for others, Lord, be they in LIFE battles or others, may we be bowed before You, figuratively (in case of inability to actually kneel to bow) or in actual form.  We ask, Lord, that You not only see us but hear us as we speak to you in bowed form, asking Your blessing on our work and on the lives of others.

Topics:  Pray for the humility to bow before the Lord as we pray for others.
