§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Romans 10:3,4   Thought/Prayer:  Subjects of God, for LIFE.  Topics:  2 at end.

“For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”  NASB® http://www.lockman.orghttp://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com).

We today do know about God’s righteousness and where it is made available to us human sinners (in Christ).  We cannot plead ignorance as an excuse to try to make ourselves approvable.  In fact, working and working to make ourselves approvable is really not smart.  It involves faulty reasoning.  Why should we try to work and work for approval when it just takes one small step (yet, really, the hugest act of our lives):  Believing?  And believing, in part, involves one particular aspect:  subjection.

This scripture speaks to subjecting ourselves to the righteousness of God (meaning, of course, to come under the rule of His will).  And in the decision of believing, we also subject ourselves—to our Lord Christ.  We humans do not like subjection.  We want autonomy and power, self-determination.  We even struggle against the Holy Spirit when he calls and calls for us to humble ourselves and come under God’s authority.

When we receive urgings from God to work for LIFE, we may draw back (conjuring thoughts of being hauled off to jail for going against powerful opposing forces) and resist coming under His authority.  But if we fight against this call, these urges, we are displaying inattention to what God is bringing to us, and we are not in subjection to Him.  Lord, today we pray that all who feel impressed to do something for LIFE—WILL!  Help us subject ourselves for salvation; help us subject ourselves to carry out Your work.  Lord, convict us all either to enter the fray for LIFE or be more open to our part in it.

Topics:  Pray for open minds, but not to worldly ideals – to God’s rule in our lives.
