§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Romans 15:1 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  Big-Hearted.  Topics:  2 at end.

“As for us who are strong, our duty is to bear with the weaknesses of those who are not strong, and not seek our own pleasure.” WNT (Read these scriptures and more at

It is heartening to see young people, especially teenagers, wanting to include those with mental and physical handicaps in social times.  There are many buddy-type programs in public schools where those without handicaps are very encouraging to those who live daily with handicaps.  There are buddy systems for attendance at school functions.  There are sports teams made up of both handicapped and non-handicapped students.  There are programs on stage including all type of students in their individual situations.  Churches and youth groups have proms for all.  There are plays, musicals, clubs, and many more local activities out there never publicized.

This is encouraging.  Many of our youth have heart.  The future lies in our young, of course.  To witness compassion in youthful lives can only bring better-ness to society, so to speak.  In many ways this is parallel to programs that bring people of different faiths together.  There are bridges built and respect fostered.  Perhaps bridges between differences are just as important – or more important – than an enemy bridge in a war that needs to come down for a victory.  Maybe if differences are bridged there will be less need for bridges of the enemy to fall.

Lord, help us pray for our young people with big hearts.  Help them to keep on being supportive of those with differences.  Help them perhaps, at some point in their lives, to see this encouragement apply to themselves or others should there be a pregnancy with confirmed genetic differences.

Topics:  Pray for our teens to be aware of others with different needs and to reach out to them.
