§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Romans 15:30-33 (Pt. 4)  Thought/Prayer:  In Joy, by God’s Will.  Topics:  2 at end.

“But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers for me to God; that I may be saved from those that do not believe in Judaea; and that my ministry which [I have] for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints; in order that I may come to you in joy by God’s will, and that I may be refreshed with you. And the God of peace be with you all. Amen.”  (DBT)  Read this scripture and more at

Paul, in his letter to Roman Christians, includes one little phrase that is possibly noteworthy.  “. . . that I may come to you in joy by God’s will . . . “.  There’s a connection here.  Joy.  God’s will.

If we are in God’s will, we will have joy.  It may not be the joy we think of at birthday parties or upon seeing an old friend from years back.  It may be the joy that it deep within our hearts, the joy of gladness that we are in God’s will.

Paul hopes to see the Roman Christians and to be refreshed in their presence and faith.  In joy; by God’s will.  When he would get to see them, can we not imagine the fellowship that exudes joy – joy that comes from being in the will of God?  This joy also comes through this bond of understanding of God and His will.  It is a bond that is unexplainable to those not of the Christian faith.  But for believers, the joy is definitely there – even if unexplainable.  Of course we’d love to explain all about it to those who have not yet believed.

Maybe we could say that Paul is telling the Romans that the way he wants to see them is through God’s will, wanting God’s will to bring him to them through joy.  By way of joy.  Via joy.

We might say vive la joie!  Long live joy!

God forgives us when we recognize that we are out of his protective will; but how much greater is the joy when we live under His banner of love over us.  How much greater is the fellowship of joy when it comes by way of God.

As we fellowship with those committed to like-ministries, such as in pro-life work; the more we lived under God’s banner of love, the greater the fellowship and refreshment in joy.  Lord, we pray that we may seek this, by first living under Your hand faithfully . . . and then seeing the fruit of joy by Your will.

Topics:  Pray for great fellowship with pro-life fellow-workers, by way of God’s will.
