§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Romans 15:30 (Pt. 3)  Thought/Prayer:  “For the Love of the Spirit.”  Topics:  2 at end.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; . . .” KJV http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Paul, here, speaks of striving in prayer “for the love of the Spirit,” a supremely worthy reason to get really serious about prayer.  It is a beautiful thing to ponder, praying really earnestly because we love the Holy Spirit.  We know that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us before the throne of God, when we do not know how to pray for our petitions (Rom. 8:26).  He groans for us, unutterably.  This must be the ultimate example of striving in prayer.  The Spirit does this for us.  No wonder we love Him!

Surely we can claim this love by the Spirit for our own lives as we labor in prayer.  And then we love Him back as we strive in prayer for others, beseeching God to work in their lives and to bring them blessings.  Of course, this includes the preborn and their families, the infirm, the disabled, the old.  As we show our love for the Holy Spirit by earnestly praying for all of these issues of LIFE in specific lives, or in general.  Surely he must love our efforts, no matter how seemingly minimal, or even if He has to help us do this.

Lord, help us remember to pray hard, out of love for the Spirit.  Help it be a labor of love for anyone facing a difficult LIFE situation.  And thank you for helping us do this.

Topics:  Pray for greater and greater love for the Holy Spirit every moment we live and translate that into increased prayer and service.
