§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Romans 8:14-16 - As His Own/As Our Own.

  Thought/Prayer: Topics:  2 at end.

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children.  Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’ For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.  NLT http://www.bible.com/  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com).

On the news was a story about a family going through procedures to adopt two sons from a country of a great natural disaster.  The prospective adoptive parents were in anguish as to the safety of the two boys, even calling on governments to find him and intervene to bring him out of the devastating situation.  As far as I know, the situation worked out well, and the young men are now with their new parents.

But just to think – a man and wife so heartsick with worry about two children not yet their own – but loved as though they were already their own.  Worry knows no limits when it comes to those we love, whether they are already officially in our families or not.

Isn’t it incredible that love can extend so greatly to those beyond our own?  Think of how it is with Jesus.  He has, through our belief, adopted us as his Own children.  Even though you and I are not Christ’s biological son or daughter, He loves us as though we are.

The same can be said for people who strive to save babies from premature death by abortion.  Even though we’ve never seen them, never met their parents or families, still we love them as our own, and as creations of our God.  And we pray for them and fight for them as we would any family member.  Lord, help us today to be faithful to stand and fight for those we will never know.  But you know!

Topics:  Any election taking place in our nation – that Godly persons will be elected.
