§ What is Pro-Life Unity?

To achieve Pro-Life Unity we will establish standards that we all agree upon, and efforts that we all regularly participate in. By working together we can challenge the culture of death and the apathy which is pervasive in our society.

Deuteronomy 7:9   Thought/Prayer:  Thoughts of Praise.    09-25-2012

“And thou shalt know that the Lord thy God, he is a strong and faithful God, keeping his covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments, unto a thousand generations: . . . ”  DRA http://www.bible.com (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

Should we not just praise God over and over again for these words given to us?  Look at all of the magnificent descriptions of our God!  Strong.  Faithful.  Keeps mercy.  Keeps his covenant – unto a thousand generations!  Hallelujah!  Hallēl (Hebrew for praise).

Is it not great that our God is described here with such adjectives and verbs?  When we think about it, why are we not running around every day hollering out these wonderful words?  When walking in a mall:  “Strong”!  When going into a movie theatre:  “Faithful”!  Well, no.  Maybe not out loud at least – no need to seem that odd!

But we could shout them out continually in our minds and hearts!  Yes, let’s make it a practice to continually run words of praise through our brains.  They will not cause a problem with thinking – Thinking should be enhanced because these praises bring God closer.  Maybe these words would be just an ongoing undertone in our heads, just as some people believe we have subconscious thoughts.  If we do, perhaps praises to God could be included because He is within all of us, conscious, unconscious or subconscience as some believe.

It could be very interesting, if we become aware that we do have thoughts that are not in our direct consciousness – and that these thoughts are of our Maker.  Think of the baby in the womb.  This little one is being knit together by God (Ps. 139), and God is throughout this new creation, including being in all type of thoughts.  So this baby is born with capacity to know God on any level in existence within humans.  This baby can someday praise God – and there just might be praises ticker-taping through his or her unknowingly-conscious mind all the time.

Lord, help us to claim that this type of thought might actually occur within us.  We hope this doesn’t sound too “far out,” but then we know that you, God, are both the nearest and the farthest out Being ever.
Praises again.
