Hebrews 1:9 - The wrong shall fail, The right prevail.

Thought/Prayer:  Topics:  2 at end.

In reference to Jesus, we read, “You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”

The poem, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in 1864 during the American Civil War has these two verses:

And in despair I bowed my head:
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men.”

All of us wanting LIFE for the preborn to prevail on our earth can surely identify with hate and those who mock God.  It’s easy to get stuck on this negativity.  But as with Christ, we who love justice and hate evil will be rewarded because stronger still is our God.  Yes, right will prevail – in His timing.

It’s so easy to get discouraged by events and attitudes around us – but getting encouraged is as simple as considering God and His powers.  Pray today that all who fight for the preborn will be able to see a glimpse of God’s gargantuan power, or that he might reveal Himself in a mighty way.

Topics:  Pray for our nation’s health care system, that godly considerations will be part of the foundation.
Pray for discouraged pro-life warriors, that they may consider that God is not dead and that right will prevail.
