I Chronicles 14:11 (Pt. 3)

Thought/Prayer: 3 Little Words Bold-Faced. Topics: 2 at end

Against the Philistines:  “And he went up to Baal-perazim, and David struck them down there. And David said, ‘God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like a bursting flood.’”

Did you see them?  Did you notice the three little words I’ve bolded above?  Three little words: “by. . . my. . . hand.”  By David’s hand.  By the hand of a human.

Well, we say, David was different, directly chosen by God to carry out huge tasks and encounters effectively.  By David’s hand, yes.  But by the hands of us in the 21st century?  Really?

YES!  Yes, yes, by our hands.  Our own hands. Of course we know that David was singled out by God in a big way.  But David helped lay the foundation for the future of God’s plans for our world.  David helped pave the way so that God can use OUR hands to carry out his will.

Never give up hope that God will use the hands he gave us to work His miracles.  By our hands of service in the cherish-life arena, His will WILL be done.  God, our prayer is that we know Your desires for our hands in your service, in our lives of service, in the service of LIFE.
