Isaiah 1:16,17   Thought/Prayer: Christians’ Goal of Justice.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;  remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”

Again, in courtrooms where life issues are debated, Christians have the goal of seeking justice, correcting oppression, bringing justice to the fatherless, and pleading for the widow.

Our prayer today is that in each and every courtroom across our nation, this very day, that these objectives will be brought about by God, by the words he puts in the mouths of those in the debate.  He is the great and final judge.  Beseech his favor on the fatherless and especially for justice for the unborn and for correcting the oppression often brought on their mothers.

Topics:  Pray for the release of Pastor Walter Hoye in California –incarcerated under an unjust law for holding a sign in front of an abortion clinic, saying “Jesus Loves You and your baby.  Let us help you.”

Pray for the jury in the trial of abortionist George Tiller in Wichita, KS – that the jury will be focused and see things as God leads them.
