Luke 1:36   Pregnant in Her Old Age

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

(Written Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008)  Yes, this is the day after a disappointing, heart-wrenching Presidential election.  The gist of day-afters:  replaying, regrouping, reconnoitering.  At Bible study tonight, we ladies were sharing our thoughts about America, plus and minus.  We agreed as one that God does indeed reign, and He has not forgotten his children who love him and who share his griefs over the human condition.

Several places today I have seen reference to the “day after;” I concluded that this is also a “day before.”  Assuming that Earth has a future in days, then any day can be at once a day-after and a day-before.  Lord God, please help us seize this Day as we seek your will and thoughts in ourselves.  Help us to intently focus on regrouping, quickly erasing all replays.  Just work your will in us as we seek your plan for Earth.  We know you have one.
