John 8:50 Thought/Prayer:  Silent Work in a Courtroom.  Topics:  2 at end.

Jesus speaks of Himself:  “Yet I do not seek my own glory; there is One who seeks it, and he is the judge.”

Amazingly, Jesus the Lord Himself does not seek his own glory.  He defers to his Father and refers to his Father as judge.  God is the final judge.  He’s also the final jury.  No righteous conviction in the courts will occur without him.

As Christians sit in spectator seats observing court procedures, there are no real spectators.  There is active participation from spectator-row, and although unseen and unheard, there is work being done right there.  The hard work of prayer is employed.  And this effort of prayer brings God into the courtroom in an even greater way.  It’s the best way righteous court convictions can be established.

Pray for righteousness in courtrooms across the land.

Topics:  Pray for the release of Pastor Walter Hoye in California –incarcerated under an unjust law for holding a sign in front of an abortion clinic, saying “Jesus Loves You and your baby.  Let us help you.”

Pray again for the jury in the trial of abortionist George Tiller in Wichita, KS – that the jury will be focused and see things as God leads them.
