Luke 18:5-8 Thought/Prayer: Overly Persistent We Must Be.  Topics:  2 at end.

Jesus is speaking to his disciples:  “And he said unto them, ‘Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.’”  KJV  (Read this scripture and more at

A change of heart and a saved baby:  It’s been in the news.  A woman faces assault charges after she pulled a knife on two pro-life advocates who were encouraging her not go through with an abortion.  Now the mother has decided to keep her baby!  Hallelujah and praises!  Praises and Hallelujah!

Yes!  We never know when our prayers are going to be answered.  I don’t know who was at that abortion clinic that day – but we know that those people were surely praying – and we know that there are millions of prayers said around the globe every day, to save the lives of babies branded for abortion.  Actually, if only one person in the world had prayed that day the mother turned her heart around, that could have been the prayer answered to this wondrous effect.  Again, hallelujah.

Lord, let us not give up.  Let us be “importunate” (overly persistent).  Let’s hound Heaven for grace and answers – Loudly!

Topics:  For persistence in prayer for all Christians and especially for those who pray for LIFE to reign in our world
