Psalm 119:160 (Pt. 2)

Thought/Prayer:  God and Time.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”

At the close of a year, we think about “time.”  This second of life has now passed into history as this new second of life is – well, gone – and on and on, never stopping.  In the passage above, all of time is included:  “the beginning” and “for ever.”  Hallelujah!  There is Someone who knows all of time:  There is Someone who plans everything within all of time.  This is comforting, from beginning to end, from beginning to forever.  Someone Himself (God) has no beginning:  “In the beginning, God. . . . ”  (Genesis 1:1).  Could it be that this is part of why God can be so wise and all-knowing:  He is outside of time and can observe it all.  He has always existed – so there is no “time” at which He is unaware because of time restrictions?

God knows the times of the preborn and the newborn.  He plans for each of them within the time limitations he has given us here on earth.  What glorious plans does He have for each conceived baby in the womb?  We don’t know, but He does, for all time.  Lord, we pray that conceived babies will grow, be birthed, and bloom within your time-frame for each little one.  Lord, You Who knows all of time and beyond, we ask that you convict so that every baby born can carry out your perfect plans with perfect timing even if in imperfect times.

Topics:  Pray for reflection over this fading year, that we may better understand how our current times affect the future.
Praise God for creating us, time, and eternity . . . through His plan for procreation and service, forever.
