Psalm 74:16 ,17 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Orderliness.  Topics:  2 at end.

“The day is thine, the night also is thine; *thou* hast prepared the moon and the sun:
*Thou* hast set all the borders of the earth; summer and winter—*thou* didst form them.”  (DBT)  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com)

God certainly seems to enjoy lining things up for us humans to enjoy, even if we can’t comprehend it all.  When something as cosmic as a total solar eclipse occurs, we may ponder the absolute precision God built into His universe.  The lining up of sun/moon/Earth was set in motion eons ago; and to understand it is impossible for our human minds.  But enjoy it, we do.

But such phenomena as eclipses are so . . . huge!  We don’t understand the great power that creates them.  We perhaps cannot relate to the extent of the universe.  We may not think all of that “bigness” applies directly to us.  But it can.

The hand creating stellar events is the same hand that created a hippopotamus calf to have the same body shape as its parents; a giraffe calf to have a very long neck to match mom and dad’s; an elephant calf to have a matching trunk, just smaller.  The intricate development of these babies is just as ordered as lining up the stars to form a shape we recognize, such as the Big Dipper.

And just consider the orderliness of the creation of a human baby, with all the brain functions over and above animals.

God lined up our planets rotating our star, the sun.  He lined up different planets’ various moons.  He lined up the eyelashes on a newborn human infant.

It’s simple, in one regard.  God plans.  Plans include clockwork.  God is good at that.  He’s the master of all of the gears of the universe.  Lord, help us to be able to convey to struggling people with unplanned babies coming, how much God has invested in the creation of the child – everything in order – and how much He wants that child to grow up on the Earth – also of His creative hand.

Topics:  Praise God for the orderliness of His universe, particularly in the development of baby animals . . . and most of all, baby humans.
