Psalm 9:13,14 (Pt. 4)

Thought/Prayer:  Deliverance.  Topics:  2 at end.

“Be gracious to me, O Lord!
Behold what I suffer from those who hate me.
O thou who liftest me up from the gates of death,
that I may recount all thy praises,
that in the gates of the daughter of Zion
I may rejoice in thy deliverance.”

Deliverance can come in many forms.  We can be delivered from danger; delivered from prisons; and, spiritually, delivered from many sins and shortcomings.  Of course, when babies are being thought of, “delivery” means an entirely different thing.  I wonder why babies are “delivered.”  Perhaps they are delivered from the confines of the womb before coming on the scene in this world as a new person.

Pray today that the world will be continually updating thoughts about preborn babies in order that each and every one will be given the chance to be delivered at just the right time, which is, God’s time.  His timing should be the one to consider when the unborn are in question.  Of course, there need to be Caesarian sections which are decided upon by mother and doctor – but to deliver as nearly to the normal time as possible.  The same for induced labor.

Topics:  Pray that God’s wisdom regarding birth will prevail in this world.
Pray not to be discouraged that this seems such a long time coming.  God’s timing is perfect.
