Romans 10:3, 4 (Pt. 2)  Thought/Prayer:  Christ, the End of the Law.  Topics:  2 at end.

“For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.”  NASB® http://www.lockman.orghttp://www.bible.com  (Read this scripture and more at http://prayerpivot.com).

Jesus Christ brought an end to the law for achieving salvation.  Because of his mercy and grace toward us sinners, we no longer need to follow rules and regulations designed to please God and gain righteousness.  God gave the law as a standard to show us sin.  But when Christ came, He provided the way to become righteous and therefore acceptable in the eyes of God.  The way was, of course, HIMSELF, the end of the law.

As Christians, we do not do our pro-life work in order to build a structure of works to offer to God.  We do not do this work as a means of attaining approval because of our endeavors.  We don’t work for LIFE because it will build a ladder to heaven, step by step, or even a step ladder!

No.  We do this work because we love Jesus and because it is a way of demonstrating love toward Him.  He showed love to us first, and we in turn show love to Him by spreading it to others, even to those wee lives in the womb.  We, through Him, love them first!

It is a relief to know that we are not working to gain salvation by following a pro-life agenda.  The pressure to perform out of duty for a glance of Godly approval is off.  The only pressure there is, is the pressure of a full heart of love toward God, pressing upward and outward from within our chests, pressing to bring service.

Lord, we thank you today that we do not have to live under pressures to perform to gain Your righteousness.  Lord, we pray today that those who serve you for LIFE will be able to rest in the knowledge that we already have your righteousness through faith – making our service even more enjoyable.  Pray that this in itself will help keep us from tiring and will boost faithfulness out of shear enjoyment.

Topics:  Pray for more and more awareness on the part of pro-life Christians that we serve God from love, not duty.
The teachers in our nation’s schools, to had a LIFE mindset
