A World Upside Down

A World Upside Down
December 15, 2010

You need only watch TV for a few minutes to see things aren’t like they used to be. Why is our government fighting for all that is bad as though our lives depended on it?  The agenda for change started years ago with the age of free love and free sex. Ha! Were we deceived?  That really wasn’t love and that free sex has cost us more than we could have ever imagined.

I googled stats on AIDS.  Below are some numbers from a 1995 LA Times article, “The Economic Cost of AIDS”.

* AIDS will have siphoned off an estimated $81 billion to $107 billion from the U.S. economy by 2000. Costs of the epidemic are already immense: The disease has run up a tab of $75 billion to date, with $3 billion to $6 billion a year being spent on new infections each year.

In January 2008, The CRS Report for Congress stated that government was doing its share given the exorbitant cost of HIV/AIDS programs. Since 1986, the U.S. Agency for International Development for funding HIV/AIDS in the regions had increased its funds from $11.2 million in 2000 to $56.6 million in 2004. It’s expected to hit $30 billion by 2010. Read more at Suite101: HIV/AIDS Skyrockets in America: New Cases Climb to 46,000 in US, Plummets in the Caribbean. http://www.suite101.com

* The lifetime costs of treating someone with HIV-AIDS in the United States in 1995 was $119,000. Today it is $335,000.

Now for the stats on sexually transmitted diseases, 2009 national data on gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis that are published in CDC’s report, Sexually Transmitted Disease Surveillance, 2009 (available at http://www.cdc.gov/std/stats)

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) remain a major public health challenge in the U.S. CDC’s surveillance report includes data on the three STDs that physicians are required to report to the agency – chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis – which represent only a fraction of the true burden of STDs. Some common STDs, such as human papillomavirus (HPV) and genital herpes, are not reported to CDC. In total, CDC estimates that there are approximately 19 million new STD infections each year, which cost the U.S. healthcare system $16.4 billion annually and cost individuals even more in terms of acute and long-term health consequences.

It wasn’t a “major public health challenge” when children were taught to wait until marriage to have sex. While there were those who didn’t listen, the majority of people agreed it was better that way. Does it take a PhD to see the evidence that ‘free’ sex isn’t free? I personally don’t want this free sex, but I am still paying for it through taxation.

As the cases for STDs rise among teens, Planned Parenthood reports that Abstinence Education doesn’t address how to protect oneself during sex.
The word a b s t i n e n c e says it all. Don’t do it!  It is proven, abstinence is the only full/fool proof method for prevention of diseases and pregnancies.  But still everyone looks in all other directions for “a better way.” Planned Parenthood fights daily to take money from my pockets to do their dirty deeds. Their method of education is to push children as young as five to sexual activities. If conservatives who believe in God and abstinence would be bold and speak out, we could really have change. But too many sit back and let the devil devour their family and those around them.

“One of the biggest problems with the increase in STDs among teenagers is due to the lack of education,” says Family First Aid, help for troubled teens. Really? Planned Parenthood has been educating kids even as young as five for many years. Why hasn’t that made a decrease in diseases? In fact since the onslaught of “free” sex there has been an increase in disease, pregnancies, suicide, and rebellion amongst teens against parents and authority.  Am I the only one to notice this? God was taken out of schools and the “if it feels good do it” attitude took over. But has it really felt good to have sex become the most important thing in our lives, even over life itself? Consequences are ignored for momentary pleasure, an addiction that does not satisfy.

Today good is bad and bad is good. Words like sick, infer something is the best. Killing babies is better than adoption. Career, school and fun are first priority over one’s own child. Even if someone is hurting themselves or someone else, we’re told not to offend.  One night this week I heard on local news that in three separate cases, children, under the age of ten, were murdered by their own parents and one teen killed his grandmother. Three children were killed by a father, two by another estranged father and one by a mother. We’re taught that we come from apes and that an unborn child is a blob of tissue. So I am not surprised that more people are being killed in various ways. We are taught there is no value in old people and the value of the unborn is worthless. How are people to know just who is worth saving and who isn’t? Right is subjective?  When people are left to decipher that for themselves disaster will always follow. We value baby seals’ lives but think nothing of killing millions of unborn babies in our country. Not only do we think nothing of it in our country, we sponsor the killing of unborn in other nations.

Right is never wrong. Wrong is always wrong. Right may look wrong at the time but as we can see over 40 years of what seems right to some has lead to and will continue to lead to destruction. There are absolutes and our world is absolutely being turned upside down.

It is one thing to suffer consequences for one’s own actions but why are we suffering for the frivolous actions of others? We pay higher insurance, taxes, medical bills and more because others want to live reckless lives. The continued deception about sex and abortions flood our society supported by our hard earned money.  Each time I hear the news about what our government is doing I cringe. They are pushing and protecting the worst things that lead to destruction pretending they are trying to find a way to end all our troubles. Upside down, thinking they’re climbing out, but instead burying us deeper and deeper in all kinds of evil.

Will they ever see the truth and turn from their wicked ways? Will all the people who know what is right do something or will the few that have fought so hard continue to fight while the majority do nothing. Is there any righteous among us? Let them stand up and speak out.
